Day by Day Route
Day 1 :
ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO NAIROBI
Arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO). After completing Immigration formalities, collect your baggage and walk out to meet with your guide for greetings and transfer to the accommodation planned for the first night. Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, is a vibrant and dynamic destination with much to offer. With its blend of urban sophistication and natural beauty, Nairobi is a must-visit destination for any traveler to Kenya.
Day 2:
NAIROBI – NAKURU LAKE NATIONAL PARK.
A safari to Lake Nakuru from Nairobi typically involves a drive of about 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. The alkaline lake attracts seasonally huge flocks of flamingos that often turn the lake’s shores pink. The park is home to over 450 bird species and 50 mammals such as Rothschild’s giraffes, common and Defassa waterbucks. If you are lucky, you will also see a leopard lounging in the branches of a fever tree. Most importantly, you might spot both the endangered white and black rhino.
Day 3 & 4:
NAKURU LAKE NATIONAL PARK– MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE.
After breakfast you will leave Lake Nakuru National Park to reach the Masai Mara in the early afternoon. The following two days will be spent on game drives in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Masai mara is characterized by vast open savannahs, dotted with acacia trees and occasional rivers. The Mara River cuts through the reserve, providing a vital water source for wildlife and a dramatic setting for the migration crossings. The migratory animals migrate from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Masai Mara in search of fresh grazing land, offering a spectacular natural spectacle.
Day 5:
MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Today you will continue through the park on your way to the Tanzanian border. There will be time to see more animals on your way out of Masai Mara game reserve. After going through Immigration formalities, you will continue through the town of Tarime to the Africa`s leading National Park, the Serengeti national park. The Safari from Masai Mara Game Reserve to Serengeti National Park via the Sirari border is an exciting and adventurous trip through the beautiful landscapes and villages of East Africa.
Day 6 & 7:
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
One of the undisputed highlights of northern Tanzania is the Serengeti National Park. Most of this immense size of this World Heritage Site national park is yet to be discovered. Serengeti National Park is home to the world`s wildebeest migration, the Great Migration is a unique and highly plasticity phenomenon, occurring in the ecosystem of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and the Maasai Mara national reserve in Kenya. A safari that coincides with this great wild movement is an opportunity we shouldn’t miss. Although variations occur from year to year, with climate change being the main factor.
Day 8:
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – NGORONGORO CRATER
You will have breakfast at dawn before the 4×4 safari vehicle takes you to the crater rim from where you descend into the crater on an adventurous and steep trail. A tapestry of landscapes the sunken beauty of the ngorongoro crater, The planet’s biggest unbroken, inactive volcanic Crater. With its stunning landscapes and views, the Ngorongoro crater is an exceptional geological landmark and a UNESCO World Heritage Site that promises sightings of the Big Five and plenty of other wildlife as well. The Crater measures around 12 miles across, with a Rim that rises 3000ft from the floor and is covered with ancient forests draped in lichen.
Day 9:
KARATU – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we head to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is a wildlife haven much publicized for its vast landscapes dotted with ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. Spanning 2,850 square kilometers, the park attracts diverse wildlife, including lions, and an abundance of bird species. The Tarangire River flows through, is the magnet of the wildlife, standing as a vital water source during the dry season.
Day 10:
ARUSHA – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Leaving the busy city, your journey takes you to the Amboseli National Park close to the Tanzanian border. The city is a hub for safari tourism, with a bustling market, lively street life, and a mix of traditional and modern architecture with a pleasant climate due to its elevation. Arusha is often considered the gateway to several national parks, making it a popular starting point for safaris and outdoor adventures. Rich in Maasai and other ethnic influences, Arusha offers a unique blend of urban and natural experiences.
Day 11:
AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
This park is famous for iconic images of elephant herds on the plains with snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro in the backdrop. Amboseli national park is birdwatcher`s paradise and home to the Maasai people, known for their distinctive dress and cultural traditions. The park offers spectacular opportunities for wildlife viewing, photography, and experiencing traditional Maasai culture.
Day 12:
AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK – JOMO KENYATTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
The day has come to wave our goodbyes and after breakfast, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, departing at the stipulated time according to the return flight.
